The largest and fastest 14 & Under Championship State Meet in the Nation will be March 12, 13 & 14 at the very fast University of Illinois-Chicago Natatorium.
The last day of competition saw two more State Records achieved bring the total number of New Records for the weekend to 14. The one New Individual Record was set by HANNAH BOYD of the Redbird Swim Club she set a New 11-12 Girls 100 Free Record with a time of 52.55. The one Relay Record on Sunday was set by the Academy Bullets Swim Club 13-14 Girls 400 Free Relay of MARY SCHNEIDER, AMY NOVAK, ANNA WILLIAMS and JULIE ALBRIGHT who swam a time of 3:31.15. Sunday was filled with outstanding races from all participants a Great Final for the last day of competition!
The Top 10 Combined Team Scores; 10th Chicago Wolfpack Aquatic Club 454, 9th Maverick Swim Club 474, 8th Wheaton Swim Club, Inc. 500.50, 7th Waves Bloomington/Normal Y Swim Team 585, 6th Patriot Aquatic Club 626.50, 5th Fox Valley Swim Team 667, 4th St. Charles Swim Team 945.50, 3rd Hickory Willow Swim Assoc. 953.50, 2nd New Trier Swim Club 1,118.50 and the 2010 Illinois Combined Team Champions the Academy Bullets Swim Club 1,632.50.

Another fast day of swimming on Saturday for the 14 & Under Swimmers from the State of Illinois, is there anything else to do but swim fast when Olympic medalist Peter Vanderkaay comes to visit the fastest 14 & Under State Championships to sign autographs and present awards. Another 6 New State Records were achieved on Saturday bring the total up to 12 New Records. On Saturday the fans saw 3 New Individual Records and 2 New Relay Records. EMILY CHUANG of the Wheaton Swim Club swam her 2nd and 3rd records of the meet. On Saturday EMILY'S first record of the day was the 10 & Under Girls 100 IM were she swam a 1:05.91 and then in the 100 Fly she swam a 1:04.32. JACK LEVANT of the Fox Valley Swim Team achieved his 2nd ISI State Record in the 10 & Under Boys 50 Free by swimming a 26.21. Three New Relay Records were achieved on Saturday, the Relay Team of COLE STEFFL, BRYAN ELLIG, ETHAN MORSE and JACK LEVANT of the Fox Valley Swim Team swam a 1:50.52 to set a New 10 & Under Boys 200 Free Relay Record. The Academy Bullets set two New Relay Records in Finals on Saturday Night. The relay of ANNIE GOSSELIN, YEUN PAK, REBECCA MANN and KATHERINE CANFIELD set a New State Record in the 11-12 Girls 400 Medley Relay with a time of 4:06.55. Next came the relay of MARY SCHNEIDER, REBECCA BOGLE, ANNA WILLIAMS and JULIE ALBRIGHT who swam a 3:55.50 for a New State Record. With only one day left who knows what Sunday could bring, Swim Fast Illinois!
Friday produced some outstanding swimming. On the first day of competition Illinois Swimming saw 6 NEW State Records 4 New Individual Records and 2 New Relay Records. Congratulations to EMILY CHUANG from the Wheaton Swim Club who achieved a New 10 & Under Girls Record in the 50 Fly with a time of 29.04. LAURYNN HARVARD tied her record in the 10 & Under Girls 50 Breast with a time of 32.88. DANIEL LE set a New Record in the 13-14 Boys 100 Breast with a time of 57.20. And JACK LEVANT from Fox Valley Swim Team set swam a New State Record in the 10 & Under Boys 50 Fly with a time of 28.30. The 13-14 Girls 800 Free Relay of JULIE ALBRIGHT, KELLEY LEHANE, ANNA WILLIAMS and MARY SCHNEIDER from the Academy Bullets Swim Club set a New State Record with a time of 7:45.25. The 10 & Under Boys Relay of ETHAN MORSE, BRYAN ELLIG, JACK LEVANT and COLE STEFFL from the Fox Valley Swim Team established a New State Record with a time of 2:02.87. Congratulations to these swimmers and we look forward to more fast swimming!
